The Carbon Trading Scheme

Full details of this recent New Zealand government initiative as a participant of the Kyoto Global Carbon Emissions Protocol can be viewed HERE but in brief the following will touch on how it works and how it can be exploited by taking advantage of the enormous size of the Waitangi West Peninsular:

Pursuant to sections 163 and 168 of the Climate Change Response Act of 2002 the New Zealand government will allocate annually a total of 27 New Zealand Units (NZU) for each hectare of land that was not cultivated as a forest before 1990, but is currently, or will be, planted with specific species of trees to a minimum of 30% crown cover. These NZUs are valued by the government at $25.00 each and are in fact Carbon Credits that can be traded on the global carbon trading market at any time after allocation that the property owner decides to do so.

The video presentations here detail several of the numerous options that might be adopted by a purchaser of the Waitangi West Peninsular, which has a fertile forest free area of 3,400+ hectares (8,400 acres+) that fits the statute requirements. As such if planted in accordance with the regulations to any desired cover NZUs will be allocated immediately the seedlings are planted.

Example

If 4,000 acres are planted the total annual NZU allocation will be 44,000 units. At the government value of $25,00 per unit that translates to an annual value of close to $1,100,000.. 6,000 acres planted returns 66,000 units at a total annual value of $1,650,000, and 8,000 acres will return 88,000 units at an annual value of $2,200,000.

Good Reasons to Act NOW

It is no secret that most of our world is currently facing one of the most difficult and volatile periods in modern history - be that by design, as many believe is the case, or otherwise is debatable - and the potential for a third global war to rise from what has become a perpetual maelstrom of destabilising events is very real. The trigger for such a cataclysmic event could very well be the demise of the 'global reserve currency' status of the American dollar, which most informed economists and financial specialists now believe to be inevitable and imminent.

One immediate and indisputable result of that demotion will be that its value will rapidly plummet and those who harbour significant quantities of it, or anything linked exclusively to it (such as US Government Treasury bills and bonds) will certainly see their fortunes evaporate over night. All US trading partners will also be hit to varying degrees by the ripple effect and few will escape the overall ramifications entirely.

The US government executive body evidently expects the worst also because moves are currently underway to enact statutory restrictions to the movement of funds and other transportable assets outside the national borders, regardless of where the owners are located. Provisions for the federal authorities to inspect bank security deposit boxes on demand, and to confiscate or appropriate precious metals reserves - regardless of wherever they might be held within the country and whoever might be doing the holding - are already in place. All of which being a little too reminiscent of similar plunder by certain governments not too long before the previous great war began.

When (evidently many well informed people believe it is not if') the unimaginable descends upon us the northern hemisphere will undoubtedly be the worst effected region, as has been the case on previous occasions. However, the entire global economy will also be intrinsically involved and very few will not be touched in some way by the massively increased prices and severe commodity shortages that will result. Those who have the initiative to take decisive action and prepare well in advance - far away from the regions where chaos is likely to reign - as is detailed in Part A and B, and become almost totally self-sufficient and independent of most outside requirements will weather the hurricane virtually unscathed.
